mystical and enchanting…

often times, i find inspiration in the smallest of moments;
moments that I have experienced hundreds of times…

this morning i shared one of those moments,
as i have done so many times since they were young,
making chai with samara and rana

mystical and enchanting
homemade chai
brings me home to my roots
and gives me a sense of belonging
that is at the heart of my art and storytelling

one of the oldest drinks in history
chai, steeped in tradition
warms the belly and the heart

it invites us to sit, rest, and tell our story;
to share the moments of our lives, big and small
and to find the beauty in each other’s stories…

it is this quiet and beauty,
between your story and mine
that we will find when we travel back to india together
and enjoy a cup of homemade chai…
