Home is where the Heart is
Family is the center of life and the source of happiness for Audrey and Karin. The women hail from New York, but have been living in North Carolina since 1994- and they have the New York accents and the delightful Southern charm to prove both pedigrees. The mother and daughter are in Milwaukee to tend to one of the pair’s favorite branches of their family tree, Karin’s daughter, Rachael.
The tight knit clan loves to travel with each other and the good times don’t truly start until the room is filled with cousins, siblings, favorite aunties, in-law, and everyone else in the happy mix. Family devotion is so deep that there are plans in the works that may find some of the relatives trading the Carolina sunshine for the frigid winters of the Midwest. As part of the women’s exploration of the town Rachael calls home, the pair visited The Pfister Hotel. The story of the landmark is woven into the history of the city, and the views from the 23rd floor offered a panoramic perspective of some of Milwaukee’s best loved buildings- it is the perfect place to begin the discovery of Milwaukee.
