Magical Milwaukee Staycation
Shan and Laurel met while students at Marquette University. The pair wed and have called Milwaukee their home for a significant portion of their adult lives. The proud, new grandparents could certainly be considered Brew City enthusiasts; both are active in causes that support the development of the city and serve those in need. Recently, the couple decided to explore the city they know so well with the fresh eyes of a tourist.
The well-travelled pair chose to give their passports a rest and instead opted to have what they called a “magical Milwaukee staycation.” Their weeklong itinerary found them cheering on the Bucks at the Fiserv Forum, strolling the halls of the Milwaukee Art Museum, rooting for their beloved Golden Eagles, and, of course, dining at a dizzying array of different restaurants between assorted adventures. During this busy week, the pair caught a Hop ride to the hotel and enjoyed a tour of the hotel while it’s still clad in its holiday finery. Their friends followed the fun by tracking their social media hashtag #MagicalMKEstaycation
After a stroll through the hotel and a fireside glass of wine in the Lobby Lounge, the pair bundled up and passed through the revolving door, on to uncover, or rediscover, their next bit of Milwaukee magic.
