HUMANS OF THE PFISTER | September 2016 | Back to School | “Mantras”
My mother was a 3rd grade teacher in MPS for 35 years. She was committed to working in the inner city. I, however, would help her out one day a year–and I couldn’t do it!
I loved the way she would instill her wisdom on me. It was very subtle. Her mantras were: (1) This too shall pass, (2) Put your big girl pants on and deal with it, and (3) The only person responsible for your happiness is you.
