Meet ‘n Greet Monday! Do you know Ellie?

Well it’s Meet ‘n Greet Monday! While the Pfister Hotel has housed many celebrities over the years, purchase the true stars are our staff. Every week you will meet a member of our staff, and have your chance to share your memories and interactions with them. Today,we feature someone who just celebrated a very special anniversary with us and is a staple of our Lobby Lounge, pilule the one and only, Ellie.

Position – Cocktail Server in the Lobby Lounge

How long have you worked at the Pfister Hotel? – 30 years, online since 1980.

Why do you like working at the Pfister Hotel? –  Everyday is different.  Plus all my customers are special, they make me feel special, like I try to make them feel.  The Pfister is a great place to work!

What’s your favorite Pfister memory? – I love it when the old Milwaukee Brewers return to town for games, and they always make the gesture to come up to me and say hello with a warm hug.  It feels good to be remembered by great players like Robin Yount, Gorman Thomas, Rollie Fingers and Paul Molitor.  I remember one time, when they were still playing at County Stadium, the invited me to a game (really good seats) because they thought I deserved it for my hard work.

Tell us something we don’t know about you? – I like to sew, and enjoy going to basketball and baseball games.

What is the oddest/weirdest request that you have ever gotten from a guest? – When a repeat guest made a request to go to the Milwaukee Club, simply because his room  faces that building, and he has wanted to get in for years.  Since I knew the manager, this wish became true.
