New Chapter: The Eleventh Narrator Begins

Posted by on May 22, 2018 | No Comments

I approach my very first blog post as the eleventh Pfister Narrator with a potent mix of over-the-top enthusiasm and not an insignificant amount of nervousness. I am honored to follow in the footsteps of ten outstanding Narrators and excited to offer my voice to the collection of artifacts which document the events of The Pfister Hotel’s 125th year.  Having the opportunity to tell the stories of this iconic location is a true privilege, and I am eager to begin this adventure.

Storytelling is my passion. If you are familiar with my previous work, it is likely you are a Milwaukee enthusiast. I am best known for my guided and self-guided walking tours of the metro area. I am excited to bring the concept of my popular Walking Milwaukee collection to the hotel by creating self-guided walking tours uniquely created for Pfister guests that showcase some of the best the city has to offer. The tours will change with the seasons, so there will always be something new to explore- and another reason to visit us!

In addition to the tours, I’ll incorporate audio narratives into the offering this year as a way to both explore the history of the hotel and celebrate the contemporary happenings that make the hotel an unparalleled destination. Of course, the tradition of recording the special events and the interesting guests that are part of The Pfister Hotel in 2018 on the hotel website will continue. Thematically, my work will focus on the history of the hotel, taking a closer look at how things have changed, and notably how they haven’t changed, in this last 125 years.

To make all of this work, I will need your help. Please invite me into your world lets dive into this special place together. If you have a Pfister story that needs sharing, I encourage you to contact me via email, at hotelnarrator@gmail.com. If you visit the hotel, I’d love for you to pop by and say hello. I cannot wait to present all of the magic and memories I uncover this year, and I am thrilled that you will be a part of it all. Let’s raise a glass and toast to a wonderful 125th year!
