A new face, new menu items at Mason Street Grill

Marcus Restaurants welcomes Ed Carrella as the new General Manager for Mason Street Grill. Carrella’s responsibilities include leading daily operations, managing the restaurant staff and continuing the tradition of providing an incredible dining experience for guests. He has already introduced new menu items to Mason Street Grill, including mini Mason Street Grill Burgers, Steak Forks, Tuna Tartar Tacos, Sweet Potato Chips and Baby Back Ribs. A new music line-up has also been introduced.
Ed Carrella brings more than ten years of restaurant management experience ranging from service management, kitchen management to general restaurant management in numerous cities across the midwest. Starting his career in 2000 as an assistant general manager at the Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises in Chicago, Il, he then moved up to a general manager position with the high volume Sullivan’s Steakhouse in Chicago, Il. With his extensive restaurant experience and innovative ideas, he was an obvious choice for the position with Mason Street Grill.
“After spending an extensive amount of time with Ed, you could tell he knew the business and had the skill set to work with this team,” stated Keith Halfmann, Corporate Director of Restaurants and Operations Support for Marcus Hotels and Resorts. “Another great thing about Ed, he’s so friendly and upbeat, we knew immediately we had found the right person for the role.”
Carrella is also eager to get to work, “this is such a great opportunity for me to showcase my experience in an incredible restaurant like Mason Street Grill. I’m looking forward to spending years here and getting to know my guests.”
